We love Jane Mohr / Dress To Kill at MIX
“Established in 1990, Dress to Kill is one of the truly last remaining Cottage Industries.
After graduating Art Center College of Design in 1984, I moved to Europe where I spent 4 years working as a editorial fashion photographer. I returned to LA in 1980 and opened up a outdoor stall on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, where I began to create my own designs. Dress To Kill started as a collection of vintage inspired print dresses. DTK became wildly successful and was selling out at major stores including Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, Neiman’s and Saks as well as hundreds of upscale boutiques nationwide.
Over the years Dress To Kill has evolved into a sophisticated “WEARABLE ART” collection. “Less is more” is my motto. I create beautiful clothing that is special made from limited quantities of gorgeous imported novelty fabrics..The beauty of the collection is that it looks great on all body types. I believe that when you purchase expensive clothing it should be easy to care for. That’s why every piece of DTK is laundered I have always had a passion for sweaters so I created CAZ KNITWEAR luxurious cashmere and novelty hand-loomed sweaters that compliment any outfit. Clothing should reflect a woman’s unique style and individuality. The Dress To Kill woman is bold and confident and does not want to see herself coming and going”. Jane Mohr
